Dental Cleaning and Exams

Dental cleanings and exams are an essential part of your regular dental checkups at Seneca Dental Care.  During your first visit, a comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist.  Regular dental cleanings and exams should be scheduled every six months.

During your appointment, your dentist and hygienist will:

• examine diagnostic x-rays and take new ones if needed 
• complete an oral cancer screening
• evaluate for signs of gum disease and tooth decay
• evaluate existing crowns and fillings

During a regular cleaning, your hygienist will remove stains, tartar, and plaque.  Your hygienist will also review brushing and home care, so that you can best maintain your oral health until your next appointment.  

After your dental cleaning, you will leave our office feeling renewed, with a clean and healthy smile!
